I have basically nothing positive to say about this chair. I purchased it when the company was doing a ‘flash sale’ saying that the list price was ‘999.99’ but that they were offering a deal for ‘199.99.’ Seemed solid. Came back the next day and saw a new list price of $235.49 but it still being offered for $199.99 without the flash deal. Several days later, (and now) it’s listed for $999.99 but being sold at $199.99. Seems pretty clear the company is playing fast and loose with the MSRP prices and that the flash deal was absolutely a scam.Still, I figured I’d reserve judgement on the chair itself and keep it if as long as I felt it was worth the $200 I’d spent, especially given the positive reviews. It look over a week to arrive, despite the promise of two day shipping, which was disappointing to say the least.I finally recieved and assembled it today. The parts feel cheap — the wheels did not want to go into the legs. At all. The footrest doesn’t slide in or out smoothly, you have to really pull and shove and wiggle it around, which is a frustrating feature given I don’t want the footrest out constantly. The footrest also isnt’ very stable or comfortable. If I want my feet to feel on there solidly, I have to push my arches into the plastic bar across the near end of the footrest, which is uncomfortable. If I put my entire foot on the main part of the footrest, my feet feel unstable and liable to slip right off.The lumbar support on this thing is a joke. It’s difficult to adjust and it’s just an uncomfortable piece of padded plastic pushing into your mid back to some degree or another. In describing it to a friend, I likened it to the feeling of the end of cheap folding chair pressing into your back.I also don’t like the chair’s general positioning. I don’t like to have to keep the chair locked at a particular recline. My preference is to have it unlocked so that I can sit in an upright and neutral position the majority of the time and then push back into a recline when I want to think or relax or just rock. However, the neutral position in this chair is far too upright, and it requires too much pressure for me to keep the chair pushed back at the angle I prefer. I’d be willing to compromise to lock it in at a more comfortable angle but I can’t find one I like. They all either recline too much or are too upright. Finally, the seat of the chair itself itsn’t comfortable. The mesh fabric is itchy and irritates my skin when I wear shorts. I threw a blanket down to make it more comfortable, which worked, but it cuts down on the breathability of the mesh and the aesthetics. I’m also someone who likes to be able to fold one or both of their legs under them when they sit — that’s actively painful in this chair. The plastic under the mesh around the rim of the chair pushes into my feet and ankles, causing pain. The thing I like the most about this chair is honestly the thing I was most skeptical about — the headrest (and the arms of the chair, I guess). I arms of the chair meet my expectations in that they are easy to use and adjustable and they function. The headrest I wasn’t sure I’d like because I haven’t ever had a desk chair with one. It’s wobbly and far from perfect, but I honestly thing I could see myself enjoying one in the right chair.I’ll give this chair a try again tomorrow when I’m hopefully less annoyed and disappointed by the whole experience, but I’m fully expecting to be asking to return this item to amazon. It’s perhaps the worst item I’ve ordered off this website. Deeply disappointing and not worth anyone’s money.

Ultimately, the Ergonomic Office Chair stands as a testament to the diverse experiences consumers can have with a single product. While many users rave about its comfort, design, and adjustability, enhancing their productivity and comfort during long hours at the desk, others express significant dissatisfaction, particularly with quality control and features that don’t meet expectations. This disparity underscores the importance of individual preferences when it comes to ergonomic seating solutions. For those seeking an affordable, versatile office chair, this model may be a fitting choice, providing it aligns with personal comfort requirements. However, potential buyers should weigh the positive attributes against the critical feedback, especially regarding assembly and overall quality, before making a purchase decision.
