How does it work?

The LINENSPA 2 Inch Gel Infused Memory Foam Mattress Topper works by utilizing a layer of plush memory foam infused with cooling gel to enhance your sleep experience. When you place it on top of your existing mattress, the memory foam molds to the shape of your body, providing customized support that alleviates pressure points. This helps relieve aches and pains while also allowing you to find a comfortable sleeping position.

The cooling gel works by capturing and distributing body heat, ensuring that you remain cool throughout the night, which is especially important for those who tend to overheat during sleep. As you lay down, the topper gradually conforms to your curves, cradling your body and reducing the strain on your spine.

Setting up the topper is easy; it arrives compressed in a box. Simply unroll it on your mattress and give it 24-48 hours to fully expand and reach its intended thickness. This topper is also CertiPUR-US certified, meaning it’s made without harmful chemicals. All these features combine to create an optimal sleep environment that can rejuvenate an old mattress or enhance a new one, making it suitable for various sleep preferences and body types.

I once bought a used twin size innerspring mattress on Craigslist for $100 and used that to replace the flimsy mattress that was on a hospital bed. It was comfortable. I would throw myself onto the mattress (sitting down position) and I would sleep comfortably and very well each night. But after 8-9 years, I started having severe back problems. I then threw away the mattress and the hospital bed.I then slept on the floor on a 3′ x 6′ yoga mat for a while. Then I bought a tall, metal, folding bed frame and I put the yoga mat on top of that. I thought the yoga mat was a good idea because it was near impossible to find any innerspring mattresses, and the ones that were in my price range looked like they would be terrible and bad for my back. I also did not have any confidence in hybrid mattresses and thought they would not offer enough support for my back. So even though the yoga mat was hard and uncomfortable, I thought that it was doable. I thought that I could also do some yoga mat exercises in bed. But I eventually gave up on the yoga mat exercises in bed and now I only do yoga mat exercises on a different yoga mat on the floor during the day.Eventually, I did get a twin size hybrid mattress, but there were some problems with it. One, it felt too soft and was a bit uncomfortable. And the edges did not have any support, despite having firmer foam in that area, so anytime I sat on the edge, I would slide right off. Also the thick hybrid mattress, despite being the thinnest one available made my bed too high. So I sold the mattress a day later and went back to using the yoga mat on the bed frame. But it oftentimes was a slow and painful process getting in and out of bed because of back and body aches. Lying on my side was painful on my left shoulder because I damaged my collarbone around 9 years ago. And sometimes, not often, my back would go out of alignment. So for a long time, I wondered what I should do. Should I get rid of the bed frame and get a shorter one and then get the twin size hybrid again? But I didn’t want to do that. Should I get a down mattress topper? Should I get one of those mattress toppers that are mostly just cheap foam with only a one inch layer of memory foam on top? Or should I get a mattress topper that is 100% memory foam, like this one? Also, how thick should I get it? I never trusted memory foam. I felt like it would be a weird feeling having my body parts sink into the foam like that. But I decided to give it a try and I ordered a 3′ memory foam mattress topper for $70 and it’s been worth it. The sinking feeling doesn’t bother me at all. In fact, it is a good thing because it puts my body in a more natural position instead of putting pressure on a lot of body parts. It’s 100% comfortable getting in and out of bed now. I can now lie on my left side without my shoulder hurting. I can now sleep on my back, side, or stomach comfortable. I sleep better. I haven’t had any back problems, and my back is recovering from my previous misalignment fast. And I haven’t had any problems with heat retention in the mattress topper and my apartment temperature is usually 82 F in the winter time. So overall, very happy. I am tempted to believe that this memory foam topper on wooden planks would be better than a hybrid mattress because hybrid mattresses consist of a lot of cheap layers of foam that wear out fast and are just unnecessary fluff, whereas the memory foam is all one really needs I think. Also, my hybrid mattress I bought weighed like 250 lbs (exaggerating), but the memory foam topper and the yoga mat I am using underneath it (instead of wood planks) is so light and easy to move. I like that. I hate lifting or dragging around really heavy mattresses when I have a bad back from a roofing accident that I was in. And now I don’t need to buy a shorter bed frame as the mattress topper didn’t add a lot of height.UPDATE: It’s been 10 days and I’ve been in pure heaven each and every day. I don’t think I will ever have back problems again and even if I get back problems they will probably be solved as soon as I sleep on this memory foam mattress topper.UPDATE: It’s been almost half a year, and I never slept on anything so comfortable in my life. It’s so great. I want to use this for the rest of my life. I like it better than actual mattresses.

I got the 3 inch. Was going to get the 4 inch elsewhere but feared my cats and my boyfriend may not be able to make it up onto the bed as we have a tall platform, box spring and memory foam mattress already and the kitties have trouble as it is and my boyfriend only has a 29 inseam and I have a 36. Pain is better. Not gone but better. Hoping to get better as it goes. I can lay on my back for a little while now. Sciatica still problem but not as much. Still need the wedge between my thighs but not the one for my sore knees most of the time. Still need the carpel tunnel mits too most of the time. Shoulder pain mostly gone most of the time. Takes some getting used to. If you have a big memory foam type pillow and a memory foam mattress you may get a hammock effect. I wound up cutting my pillow open a couple hours in first night and taking a third of the memory foam chunks out of it. Made a world of difference on my side for my hips and back. If I lay on the couch if I am not feeling good I can hardly walk when I get back up so I go lay on the bed, should have in the first place I know, and it gets me back to where I am supposed to be and can walk again. There are tips and tricks to it; like don’t sit where you get into bed if you are going to check messages, set your clock etc. Sit down where your feet go. Otherwise there is literally a crater you have to wait to fill back up before you can get in bed easily. And if you are going to go towards the middle get there first before the bed starts conforming or you will have to climb or swim or hurl yourself over out of the dip. Though I can say once you get where you are going and find your comfy spot you are good. I toss and turn way less due to pain. My senior kitties may share the opinion because suddenly they all ae bedroom kitties! I may add if you have pain issues and have trouble rolling over on any bes get a satiny slippery sheet. It makes a world of difference anyway. You should have them just for the pillow cases at least. good for keeping your hair from being damaged and also from getting wrinkles. FitBIt Sleep score went up. was 40’s to 60s before. Now its normally 80s, and 70s. once in a while low 60s. before I would rarely see a low 70 or higher. No smell when it came, easy to open, fast to expand, little heavy so get it here you want it before you put the sheets on! It does move some. First night It was a bit hot. Since then it hasn’t been but I do have a cool bedroom. I like it that way. can’t breath or sleep when its hot. It is a little short and a little skinny on the queen bed but not earth ending or deal breaking.Update: it’s already starting to get holes in it underneath from gently straightening it so much because it slides so much and it’s only been 17 days. it’s not decompressing when you lay or sit on it as well as much and it’s causing more pain. You literally have to throw yourself out of the divot to a higher part and wait for it to fill up again which is not quick enough just to roll back over so you better be sleeping alone. Thinking this might have been a mistake. It might wind up getting cut up to make seat cushions for the office chairs or perk up the cushions on the couch. So I’m having doubts about that because it hurts to sit on it. It’s a little better to lay on but after you’re there a while it can be painful. It’s not going to last long in one big piece for the bed if it’s already getting holes in it after 17 days and I’m not going to fight with a thing to get it in a box to send it back. I’ve got too many health issues to lose that battle so won’t be doing that again. I’ll either repurpose it or have someone come and get it for free but they’ll have to fold it up and haul it out and hopefully it’ll stay in one piece as they’re hauling it out. Either way is fine by me. I guess I’ll buy another new mattress and get rid of the new memory foam mattress and the next one will be a sleep number or back to a pillow top traditional or even a waterbed. I really don’t believe that memory foam is the answer if you have pain issues I think it gives too much and needs to be firmer to help with pain. It’s been increasingly harder to sleep on this as it seems to be breaking down.
